Staff was lovely but are you kidding me with the selection?

Two entire rows for girls and not even 1/4 of a section for toddler boys. Being a boy mom we know boys section is severely limited compared to girls. This one takes the cake though, wow.

Self serve, narrow aisles, so I don’t think it’s ADA friendly? One woman left her motorized wheelchair outside and was limping/hanging on to the shoe racks.
That said, they had what I was looking for. Getting a pair of slip on, comfortable shoes for $60 and change was worth the self help experience while dodging other patrons looking for/or standing in aisle to try shoes on.
Zero greeting and I didn’t even notice an employee until I found the register. She magically appeared. Additionally, I’d never tried this brand and had questions. Frustrating.
Thereafter, someone told me apparently you can get a second pair 50% off but there was no upsell at the register and I missed the signage.

I was looking at shoes in the aisle, only way to see them. I was asked rudely to go try on shoes in the back of store, and to not clog up the aisle….I’m one person! I said no, I have a sore ankle I’ll try on here….she then told me not to put the shoe box on the floor….because, wait for it, “it’s dirty” I told her maybe they should wash the floor. I was upset, strange person and strange policy. I guess I looked like a thief. 67 yr old !!! I went to Clark’s and had a lovely time buying 2 pairs of shoes . San Clemente outlet

Store Experience
On Tuesday Jun 27, I took my mom to purchase a pair of shoes. I have been at the store many times in the past and my last visit was late May and picked up a few shoes as gifts since I travel a lot and give them away to family. This time my shopping experience left me very concerned and somewhat upset at the same time. As I know the lay-out of store very well I took my mom (84 year old) straight to the Slip-ins shoes so she could pick the color she likes. Within a few minutes a very unhappy sales person girl showed up and she immediately said that those shoes did not qualify for the 50% off on the second pair. Ok at this point she got me by surprise but anyway I said thank you. At that point my mom asked if they had a pair of shoes she liked in size 8.5 and she responded somewhat upset everything is out here. The boxes under the display did not corresponded to the shoes on display however I figured it out and found the right size for my mom. Now imagine if you were shopping and wouldn’t it be so nice if someone welcomed you and ask you if you needed assistant with finding the right size? Just a simple greeting makes a big difference and makes you feel welcome to the store. After trying the shoes we proceed to pay for it and there was a person checking-out or the right register and my mom set up the box of shoes on the counter to the left register while awaiting for the cashier to finish with her previous transaction and the same Hispanic girl that was not friendly came around the corner like a mad pitbull and told my mom to step away (that she almost jumped the person that was 3 feet away on the other register). My mom paid no attention and just moved away. While this girl was ringing up the shoes on her register I placed my credit card on the credit card machine slot only to watch this mean girl take my credit card out of the machine and slammed it on the counter. At this point I confronted her telling that she’s being rude. She said she’s not and told me that I had inserted my credit card too early. At this point I asked her who was the manager as she replied: “I Am”. I immediately ask her for her name but she completely ignored me. As I was leaving she started yelling sarcastic phrases in Spanish meaning “Have a nice day and get out of here”.
I understand people have bad days working for retail but you don’t have to be rude to your customers. As for myself and my family I don’t think on returning to that store anytime soon. I can always shop somewhere else.

I went to this location to exchange my shoes and I was incredibly impressed for the customer service. I spent less than 5 minutes and left happy and satisfied with this incredible experience. Associate 035590 (I'm sorry I forgot to ask his name) is a five star employee who deserves to be recognized. Thank you so much for making my day ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

shoe store has no chairs for customers to try on shoes. I give them 1 instead of 0 because it is the lowest.
