I think it’s wild that you guys charge $24.00 a pound for paper. YES. they wrap the fudge and weigh it with paper. So you’re literally paying 24$/lb for paper

So fun to watch them make the fudge right there in the store! The guy making it was very friendly and answered all my curious questions about the process. The fudge is a little pricy, but it is made by hand, by artisans right there. So you get what you pay for. We took home 5 or 6 different flavors. Just had some a week later, and it is still so good!

I read somewhere that the fudge and the pasties were something that you could not pass up when you visited the upper peninsula of Michigan. As we were driving through St Ignace I saw this place and we decided to stop and give it a sample. Generally I'm not a huge fan of very sweet things but I have to tell you the chocolate cherry fudge that they sell here is the most delicious thing ever. It is not incredibly sweet. The lady behind the counter told me that the darker colored fudges are not as sweet and the lighter you go in color the sweeter they are. Later on we bought another packet of the turtle flavor. Very delicious about $12 a box but they had a sale going on while we were there if you buy a certain number you got a certain number of them free. I don't recall what it was cuz we did not partake in the sale.

I highly recommend this fudge it is so ridiculously good. The balance of flavor is there and it is not slap your face sweet. You will enjoy it

I'm a Michigander and have lived here my whole life. Whenever we travel, we can't help but compare fudge because the Mackinac area is famous for it. We see "Mackinac" fudge all over the country and so we have to try it. Naturally, when it's not fresh it's not as good. But still, no place can compare to Murdick's. Not even the other fudge shops in the UP. The only place I'd say comes in close second is Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen. If you like fidge, definitely don't skip past Murdick's.

Update: I have been given a refund. I feel that there are a lot of good reviews for this company and believe if you are thinking of ordering, give them a try. Everyone has an off day.
I ordered from the website based on a Google article about how good they are. We received our order quickly and we were very excited. It tasted as though it was old and had an odd smell. We were unable to eat it. I contacted them to see about returning it.
