Just had an amazing time on my 2nd weekend surf camp with NE surf. The quality of coaching from Emily and Chris was superb - they cannot do enough to help you improve, where ever you are at, and more importantly to have fun in the water. They have endless energy and patience, are always quick to laugh and are fountains of knowledge on all things surf. The video analysis is brilliant, food amazing and the atmosphere is so supportive. Thank you so much, and definitely will be looking for an opportunity for camp number 3 next year!

I had amazing experience with NE Surf - fit to surf camp. I totally develop as a surfer, with the fun but expert advice of Emily and Chris ! I had so much fun but also improve loads on my technique and surf knowledge. Love all video analysis, sharing my experience with new friends and land base work with Louis that I could take home and practice .
Great food and great company in and out of the water .

I was nervous about surfing for the first time ever! Took a beginners group session with Emily and it was brilliant! She explained everything concisely and gave feedback constantly so I ended up standing up and surfing when I wasn’t sure I’d be able to! I didn’t need to be nervous and I wasn’t cold at all! My 14 year old son also took the same lesson and due to Emily’s great teaching, he had very quick success! The session was enjoyable and helpful and communication before the lesson was great- we had to change venue for better waves. I would highly recommend Emily and Chris. Thanks to both of you.

I had the best morning with Emily and Chris!
I contacted Emily about a 121 surf lesson as I love the sea but have never been surfing before and really didn't know where to start! From the onset the communication was amazing keeping me in the loop with weather and when the conditions would be best. I was really keen to do a sunrise lesson and I wasn't disappointed. Bamburgh is always beautiful but it was a particularly lush sunrise - NE Surf School provided me with everything I needed for the lesson and I was not one bit cold while in the sea. Emily took the main body of the lesson and she really was amazing I can't believe how much I picked up in 90 minutes with a super friendly teaching vibe I could ask any questions and the lesson was completely tailored to my ability and needs. Chris was watching from the beach and offered so many tips on technique and went through a number of stretches after the session.
Following the lesson I have received follow up videos pinpointing exactly what I need to work on along with demo pop up videos and stretches to improve my flexibility specifically in the areas I was struggling in.
All in all an amazing experience and I can not wait to get back in the water with NE Surf School I couldn't recommend them enough if you're thinking about giving surfing a go.

I have done 4 camps with Emily and Chris… yes 4!! And there’s a reason I keep going back 🙂 they are the most dedicated surf coaches, full of endless enthusiasm and positivity with an infectious passion for the waves, the surf and all things ? I can see how much progress I’ve made from the detailed video analysis they give each camp. Somehow they manage to combine being very serious about your technique, breaking things down, and your safety but they never take themselves too seriously, lots of smiles and belly laughs along the way. The homemade vegan food from Sue on the camps deserves a special mention, absolutely delicious, Sue goes above and beyond, also providing loads of it to fuel you throughout the weekend, you never go hungry that’s for sure!
To top it off I’ve made great surfing buddies at the camps to surf along the NE coast and further afield with.
I cannot recommend NE Surf highly enough ?

I’ve never had so much fun and improvement in my surfing than the last few weeks with NE surf club. Who knew you could find the longest sweetest rides in the crummiest forecast? Emily and Chris knew, and they deliver every week. It feels so good to be with other adults, with endless waves and laughter.

Just completed a weekend Longboard Camp and it was fantastic !!! Emily & Chris are the owners, coaches & organisers and they provided excellent accommodation, the food through the day was from a local company and was lovely, the evening meals were cooked by Chris's mam and were fantastic !! Really tasty, filling and plenty of it to fill you up after a days surf.

Emily & Chris as coaches are amazing !! Their local knowledge of the coast meant we surfed everyday (twice on Saturday) at different beaches when Surfline's forecast suggested otherwise !! The ratio was 3:1 and 4:1 because they keep the attendees low so they can focus on everyone individually and they sure do !! They coach you before you get in, whilst you're in the water (which seems like after every wave) and to finish it off they gave video analysis which gave you micro analysis and a really good laugh aswell at wipeouts, drop ins and general things not to do !!

Overall an amazing weekend with a fantastic group, great location and first class coaches !! 100% recommend !!!

Had a private lesson with Emily during Easter holidays - most amazing experience. Emily was amazing and made me feel super safe in the surf catching waves! She gave excellent instruction for me to follow and by end of session was able to pop up and start trying to turn into wave! Something I never thought I'd do!! Would highly recommend can't wait to go back for more ?
