FOOD WAS AMAZING HERE!
I came here with a friend, ordered 5 handroll set, scallop and shrimp to share. The portion was generous for 2 to share.
Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, and recommended us which roll pairs better.
Clean environment as well.

Been wanting to visit Mari.ne for so long as I loved dinning at their Michelin-starred sister restaurant Mari. I’m a sucker for handrolls and the ones here were double the size of other spots! I also love how you can order dishes like noodles, dumplings, and other small dishes to pair with your meal. We also tried their strawberry & mango soju coolers and they were delicious. Don’t forget to end your meal off with their unforgettable yuzu custard cake with blueberry compote !

(P.S.) all their sauces are homemade!

Had the best experience at Mari.ne. this evening! Luke made all of our hand rolls and was so friendly to us as we sat and watched him work.

As a former vegetarian, I was very impressed with the vegan handroll selection offered. I was delightfully surprised by the avocado broccoli roll and Yuba roll. The standard 5 handroll set was delicious as well, a perfect balance of cold fresh fish, crispy Nori and warm rice. I would go back for the fatty tuna and yellowtail rolls alone! Had to try the soup

Marine has a wonderful atmosphere - quiet, calm, yet bustling with good people enjoying excellent food. It's the perfect escape from the chaos that is Times Square. I can't wait to return on a cold day for the Janchi Guksu, a brothy noodle soup filled with flavor. If only I had two stomachs!! Despite being so full we had to try the Yuzu custard cake with blueberry compote. I could've licked the plate clean!

Can’t comment on service because I did takeout but the decor is very cute and the rolls slap. I got the 5 pre-selected non vegan rolls and they were a good enough portion for lunch!

Update:
Went again for dinner and sat down. The rolls are great and the perfect size for a light dinner (5 rolls). I think pricing wise is fair as well! The beer was refreshing to have on a hot summer day in NYC

Made a reservation for lunch here and it was super packed! I was really excited to try this place since it’s the sister restaurant of Mari which is one of my favorite Michelin star restaurants in the nyc. We were seated after about 25 minutes of waiting past our reservation time which was a little bit annoying since I was on a tight schedule and had a time cutoff.

I got the 5 handroll set. The food was served quickly and the rolls were fresh. The confit spicy tuna one was particularly delicious, I loved the heat and how velvety the texture of the confit was. A great contrast.

The service was okay, they took our order quickly but no substitutions for rolls. I like the ambiance, the place mat was really nice.

Would recommend, the lunch was quick and ended up taking about 30 minutes so I was only slightly late 🙂

Craving handrolls? Mari.Ne is the spot you have to check out! ? This new place, from the Michelin-starred chef behind Mari, is serving up Korean-inspired handrolls that are next-level. ?

Whether you’re into spicy tuna or all about the vegan life, their rolls are super flavorful and totally gluten-free! You can get a 4-handroll set for $25 or go big with 5 rolls for $29 (such a steal for NYC). Plus, they’ve got mix-and-match options and even a 5 -vegan handroll set for $24.

You need to try the wang mandu (steamed pork dumpling) and the Janchi Guksu—it’s this amazing Korean fish broth with rice noodles and yuba. So good! ?

Whether you're catching up with friends or just want a solo dinner treat, Mari.Ne hits all the right spots. Affordable, delicious, and super chill.

I’ve done both takeout and dine-in here, and both times were satisfyingly good in their own ways. For takeout, I had a 5 hand-roll set, which was meticulously packaged with condiments and ginger. The plastic film to separate the seaweed and rice was very effective in keeping the seaweed fresh and crispy. My favorite was the yellowtail and spicy tuna. All 5 rolls I got were very fresh, each with its own interesting flavors and textures. After a good takeout experience, I decided to try dining in and ordered many items from the menu along with the hand-rolls. I loved the Korean noodle (janchi gooksu); it was very nice to have a clean, savory soup alongside the hand-rolls. It came with many delicious toppings and a spicy condiment, allowing you to customize the spiciness. The Korean sashimi platter (hwe ssam) was also very refreshing. The veggies were crispy, and the combination of sashimi and everything else worked very well. It was certainly a good appetizer before having the hand-rolls. The service and atmosphere were also nice and cozy. Everything at the restaurant seemed to be kept clean and orderly. I will definitely visit again when I’m around that area.

Found this place by coincidence, but it turns out to be one of the best handroll places I visited in NYC. The restaurant is structured as bar seatings. Every handroll was made and served one.

The rice was well seasoned, and every roll was delicious. The menu was a bit limited, but that also makes it very simple and friendly for someone who doesn't know what to order on their first visit.

The price was moderate. If you are a fan of handrolls, you should give it a try.
