I recently bought the sebastiane skirt from the Santa Monica location. Took it out of bag today from the bag and found multiple stains on it. There is no way they could have missed it… obviously a deliberate choice to sell a used, defective item at full price of $228. It was so annoying and disturbing! Going back to return.. so unfortunate because I was ready to buy multiple items.. no ethics! Not what you would expect from a high end boutique!

I've shopped the brand online and in store for several years, I love it 🙂 Amazing the staff hasn't changed much over the years which speaks volumes about a brand in the retail world. I always find the staff helpful and can count on all of them for honest fit advice. They also help in finding items that are sold out in store, ALWAYS. I think sometimes people have bad days and that store gets bananas over the weekend so good to have patience... it's only clothes after all.

Easily one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had in a long time. I felt like I was being judged from the second I walked in. The dark haired girl wasn’t welcoming or warm & even when I stepped out of my room to ask for another size in the jeans I had on- she ignored me and continued to help another customer (who even pointed out I needed help)…I overheard the sales associate make a comment about me to another associate & laughed. Obviously this is hurtful & doesn’t make shopping fun, which is what it should be. I was planning to purchase 2 cardigans and a pair of jeans. With this experience, I decided I didn’t want to support a company that hires bully sales associates. Completely turned off from supporting Doen, especially this location.

Stopped by at the store couple days ago and was amazed by beautiful European style of the store and calm atmosphere inside. The style of the clothes reminded me of some vintage pieces I own, was pleasantly surprised with this find, will be coming back.

It was my birthday this last Saturday and let me tell you how excited I was to visit the Brentwood store in person. I have been longing to own something from Doen and have obsessed over the website for a long time. My birthday was going to be that day.

I walked into the store to see four females standing there. No one made eye contact or spoke a word to me. My thoughts were maybe they would after their conversation. Nope, all four of your employees paid me no mind as if I did not exist. After about ten mins I asked a quick question, I had noticed on one tag as I was looking for care instructions for a dress that it was made in China. So I said, “I didnt know any of your clothes came from china” addressing someone that was walking by me. She got defensive and told me I was wrong, their clothes do not come from china, so I showed her the one tag as she didn’t believe me. She told me, it’s just that one dress and walked away. It was such an unsettling response and so absolutely unfriendly. At this point, still no one acknowledges our existence in the store. We felt incredibly unwelcomed and judged. Maybe they thought I couldn’t afford to shop there, maybe they judged me for some other reason. Either way they decided I wasn’t worth their time or energy to be welcomed. Simple manners I guess are hard to come by.

I was so upset to be treated that way by a brand who is about supporting woman and community. How dare you add more foul judgment and rudeness to the world. It’s already a hard place to exist in this world but you and your employees enjoy treating others this way.

I made my way to another store because it was my birthday and I wasn’t going to allow Doen to ruin my day. I had a beautiful experience in another store at the country mart. I mentioned my experience at Doen and they told me they hear that ALL the time.

Shame on you and whatever practices you have built into your business. The world doesn’t need you to make them feel bad about themselves.

I was truly saddened by my experience. I had looked forward to that day and shopping. I hope your values can change or you do a training of how to treat people with respect when they are shopping for 300 dollar tops. You would think that’s common sense to treat people with respect. It starts from the top down. It makes me believe it’s probably a lot of people’s experience in all your stores if they are deemed not rich enough. What a disappointment.

Dôen opened up a 900-square-foot space at the Brentwood Country Mart that will sell the brand's women's and children's offerings, including its fan-favorite dress styles, knits, denim, accessories, and more.

"We want the customer to be touched on all levels and senses upon entering the store. From the scent we burn and warm lighting to the comfortable rugs and kid corner (with toys for the little ones!), we want it to feel comfortable and easy while shopping,” founders and sisters Margaret and Katherine Kleveland. “Every piece is unique and inspired us in some way. We hope to evoke the feeling when you stumble upon a hidden gem in a small alleyway outside of Paris, from the hand-painted walls to the special wrapping paper.”

To bring their vision to life, the duo enlisted LA studio Nickey Kehoe—founded by Todd Nickey and Amy Kehoe—to design the store's interior.

Have been buying their clothing online for years! Finally got to stop into the store while on holiday after hoping to see it for ages. While it was beautiful, sadly I didn’t feel well attended to by staff. There were many staff members and only one other person in the dressing rooms but I was never checked on while I was trying on clothing unless I purposefully stuck my head out. One attendant stuck their arm through my dressing room curtain while I was changing and tried to offer me a shirt that the other person in the dressing room had asked for. When I asked for a different size in a shirt they didn’t have, a worker pointedly told me that the size I’d tried on did not fit (which is why I asked for a different size to begin with…) and I received no assistance in ordering it from the website nor any offer to find a similar fitting shirt for reference. The staff member then just went back to the other woman who was trying things on and seemingly made a point to not acknowledge me when I walked out (even though they’d acknowledged other customers). If you’re a fan of the brand and understand how the clothes fit you, I’d skip the trip to the Brentwood shop and just order online
