If there were as many Casa de Monte Cristo Cigar Lounges as there are Starbucks, the world would be a better place. What a damn treat this place is! My buddy and I were in the City to see a concert at The Beacon on a Saturday last month. We had every intention of visiting the Carnegie Club, but thankfully they were completely booked up and google led us to this absolute gem of a cigar lounge. Rob, who I assume is the owner, was beyond welcoming, extremely cool, down to earth and most importantly, that Man KNOWS his cigars. He was accommodating and epitomizes what hospitality is to its core and you can be certain he will guide you correctly in his recommendation while you peruse the humidor together. As a bonus, this place sits next to a liquor store and is BYOB, as well as provides glasses and ice, which compared to a place like The Carnegie Club, or the private places like the now defunct Grand Havana Room, won't leave your credit card weeping from the beating it would take paying the bill there. The atmosphere is exactly what one would desire in a cigar lounge, rustic, comfortable, plenty of seating with many different options for different wants and needs. Tables and chairs if you wanted to door dash some grub while you hang. Couches, comfy leather chairs around coffee tables if you're trying to engage in conversation with your company. Plenty of televisions to watch whatever game may be on. Most importantly, the humidor is fantastically well stocked, the humidity level is dialed in beautifully and the range of the quality of sticks available is commensurate to the prices, as it should be. There are seemingly endless options for all budgets... Non pretentious, classy, all are welcome. I couldn't possibly recommend any cigar lounge I've ever been to any higher...
