This Anthropologie store have multiple levels, quite spacious, with great clothes, accessories, scent selections, additionally has the wedding dress section as well.

The shop is very clean, with friendly staff would check on us on and off.

Located in downtown Bethesda. There is parking garage about 1 block away.

It’s a great location to visit.

Disappointing Service at Fairfax & Bethesda Locations

I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Bethesda and Fairfax Anthropologie stores that I feel compelled to share.

After my wonderful experience at the Georgetown location, where I received exceptional service from Jennifer, my visits to Bethesda and Fairfax were a stark contrast.

At these locations, I encountered staff who were unwilling to assist me with returning a lilac candle set of 2, despite my explanation that I had purchased it just a week prior from the Georgetown location. I was within the allowable return period, but without my receipt, the staff refused to help, even when I asked if they could call GT to retrieve my receipt number for me. Their dismissive attitude left me feeling frustrated and unsupported.

In contrast, when I returned to GT, Jennifer went above and beyond to help me. She not only located my receipt but also confirmed that the other stores could have reached out to GT for my receipt number. Her willingness to help and her friendly demeanor made all the difference in my shopping experience.

I sincerely hope that the other locations can learn from the exceptional service provided by Jennifer in GT. It's essential for all locations to prioritize customer care and provide the same level of support to every customer.

I would also like to suggest that Anthropologie consider updating its return policy. A 30-day return window for customers without receipts would be more accommodating, especially when it is clear that the product has not been used. Additionally, implementing a system for customers to select receipt emails or texts upon purchase, particularly for transactions involving gift cards, would be a helpful improvement. This would prevent situations like mine, as my gift was discarded after use.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see improvements in the service at these locations in the future. Then again, I don't ever intend to return to the other locations. However, I will continue shopping online and at the GT location.

I'm a big fan of Anthropologie, whether in-store or online. No matter the platform, I love them. They have super nice clothes with unique designs most of the time. They also have great home items. The Bethesda store is the best. It's three floors and always has a good inventory. I can't speak for all the employees, but their manager, Mrs. Jessica, is exceptionally nice and professional. She's always helpful and makes shopping there a delightful experience. I love going there to get good deals on beautiful clothes and lovely home items.

I recently visited this location to find my wedding dress. I got to work with one of their wedding stylists, named Kelly, who was absolutely amazing! She gave us space, but was also there when we needed her. She had such a good spirit, she made the whole experience better. I would definitely recommend this location to any brides looking for their upcoming weddings!

The clothing selection is fine. The customer service is hit or miss. Most of the sales associates are nice, but I had a strange interaction with an older associate with thick rimmed glasses the other day. Probably won’t return to this location because of her, but I’m sure she doesn’t care since she likes to stare down and bark at customers who walk through the door!

Wow. The wife and I are celebrating our anniversary this week (10 years) and I was in the area for business. I went into Anthropologie a bumbling fool and walked out a sophisticated gentleman with excellent taste, at least that’s what my wife thinks. In reality, the gift had nothing to do with me and was entirely contacted by a friendly sales associate named Sam. I described my wife’s taste, something of a whimsical creature mixed with the sophistication of Reese Witherspoon’s character on big little lies, (at least this is what her Pinterest has on it)
and Sam somehow managed to hit the nail on the head! Thank you for all the help. The first anniversary gift she hasn’t returned. lol ?

I walked in without an appointment looking for a veil that wasn’t available in store and wouldn’t ship out until after my wedding. Rowan reached out to stores all over the US to find one that had been returned and could arrive in time, and now I’m getting my dream veil! She really went above and beyond, and I am so grateful!

This review is based on racial profiling. I visit this store on average about 4 times a year. I love the layout of the store and the products. However everytime I come to this location I am followed by multiple staff as if a radar went off when I walked in that told the employees to watch out for me. I am a brown/ black woman; everytime I visit this store I am only carrying a micro- purse ( no jacket or anything that could be used to hide merchandise) ; therefore I feel as though I’m targeted specifically for my race. When I visit this store I’m always dressed as someone who buys the types of items they sell; so it’s not like I could be mistaken for being homeless. I feel disgusted everytime I shop here due to the passive aggressive following. The store is always busy and I never see the non- melanated people being stalked. Dear white workers; yes there are middle upper income black people that go out and shop; please do some reeducation and stop your racism; I’m sure some of you profiling me have BLM signs in your yard and say oh I can’t be racist because my BF is black/brown.
