The staff is always friendly there. It's just way too crowded literally all the time. It would be wonderful to price check stuff without half of Traverse City standing in font of me talking about traffic. I did not actually purchase these three items, but I was taking photos for my disabled and highly mentally disturbed great grandmother, and I thought they would fit in well here also.

Saw a mouse running around the vitamin area, told some employees, and their response was, “It happens all the time.” Wow! Classy!!

Frederic Meijer Brand is a winner. Great products. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Remodel looks great.

What concerns me is the general lack of positive vibes, but I guess that is to be expected (cue “Livin’ In America” by James Brown) with the wealth inequality in our country. Instead of saying, “Hello” or, “Are you finding everything alright?”, these employees are so unhappy that they will literally turn their back to you, and that’s a reflection on the company, as a whole, and the culture. Meijer family is one of the wealthiest families in Michigan, and yet some of their employees are quite literally homeless.

I look at things like cleanliness of floors, bathrooms, employee vibes (clothing, body language, friendliness), how well store is stocked in the afternoon and evenings, how many check-out lanes are available, the general happiness or lack thereof of employees, and whether or not there are baggers to provide a positive customer service experience. On those things, you’re failing, and you’ve got your work cut out for you.

I was missing an item that I paid for and I called the store when I got back to my place. I told the person on the phone that I think I left the item with the cashier. Can you check? He told me to circle the item and bring it to the service desk. I misunderstood him and thought he asked if I did that. He told me that's not what I said and repeated himself and hung up on me when I was speaking. Rude. This is terrible customer service. I'm giving 2 stars because the store was large and had a nice selection, but this person on the phone was disappointing. Good customer service goes a long way. I miss Publix in Florida.

Great place to shop for everything! It has a great selection of meats if you are a serious cook. A great selection of fresh vegetables too, got sugar snap peas which were really fresh and tender. And on Wednesdays they have sushi specials which are pretty good.

High volume, full service grocery store. Comparable to Walmart for the Grand Traverse area. Butcher, bakery, deli, beer wine liquor, housewares, clothing, abd pharmacy on site. Savings through the M card. Traditional checkout and self checkout options. My friend who is local says he can save money shopping there monthly. However, it is a busy place at peak hours with full parking lot in the front. Park toward the Silver lake exit.

Very good store, shopping with the app for coupons has turned into a pain though... The old way was better!

I went to this meijer's they had beautifully decorated cakes. It was Halloween so I was loving the Tin Man back in the deli section. I didn't walk the whole store I was able to get what I wanted and get out. Then I also return bottles, the store was nice and clean.

I left a bag of groceries there two days ago. I called and they said I could come in to the service desk for assistance. A gentleman employed at Meijer recorded the items I'd left behind and so the associate at the customer service desk was able to look up the items I left without my receipt, mperks, or card information. They replaced my items. I'm so thankful for the system to get customers their groceries back and for the character of the young man who recorded my items. Thank you!!
